Q How would you define yourself as a woman today?
I define myself as empowered and confident, and a spirit that remains young at heart. In the dynamic environment that we deal with daily, I make sure to come out with a strong sense of self, unwavering determination, and a deep appreciation.
Q What is your key mantra to living a life of fulfilment?
In today’s fast-paced life, achieving a fulfilled life often feels like an unachievable goal. However, one powerful mantra to living a balanced life is maintaining a balance between your professional and personal life—this is essential for achieving true fulfilment.
Q As the pioneer aromatherapist for over 35 years, what’s the one thing you want to share with the young generation?
I want to convey one message to the young generation—start caring for your environment. Our environment is the one constant that will remain with you and your generation. By taking care of it, you ensure a beautiful and healthier life for everyone. When you nurture the earth, it nurtures you in return. Simple actions like reducing waste, conserving water, and choosing sustainable products can make a significant impact. These efforts not only preserve the planet but also enhance the quality of our lives. Remember, the choices you make today will shape the world of tomorrow.
Q If not an icon in the beauty industry, who would you be?
Setting up a beauty industry with all-natural ingredients and aromatherapy was my and my husband’s dream come true. But if I hadn’t been in the beauty industry, then I would have been a wonderful and devoted writer, or maybe an actress.
Q You are a lady with innumerable accomplishments. What are you most proud of?
Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to accomplish a lot. However, what I am most proud of is my daughter, Samantha. She has been my greatest support through all the ups and downs in life. Her strength, love, and unwavering support have been invaluable to me. Watching her grow into a remarkable individual and seeing the impact she has on those around her, fills me with immense pride.
Q How do you keep yourself motivated and inspired in such a competitive industry?
My whole Aroma Magic team keeps me motivated and inspired. This incredible team’s dedication, creativity, and passion drive me to work even more dedicatedly. They continually push boundaries and bring fresh ideas to the table, making every day exciting and fulfilling. Together, we support and inspire each other, creating an environment where we can all thrive and achieve our best.
Q What innovations do you see shaping the future of the wellness industry?
The industry is encountering a strong shift towards nature and sustainability. People are increasingly recognising the importance of reducing their carbon footprint and are opting for natural and organic products. This trend towards eco-friendly and sustainable practices is driving innovation in the industry. There is a growing demand for products that are not only effective but also environmentally safe. This includes everything from biodegradable packaging to sustainably sourced ingredients
Q Can you share one life-changing moment from your entire journey?
It came when my husband passed away. It was a time of profound loss and transformation for me. However, amidst the grief, I found incredible strength and support from my daughter, my entire family, friends, and my dedicated Aroma Magic team. Their unwavering love, encouragement, and solidarity not only kept me motivated but also helped me emerge stronger than ever before. This experience taught me the power of resilience, love, and the importance of surrounding oneself with a supportive community during life’s most challenging times.
