In a world viewed and lived increasingly through screens, and continuously weighed down by deadlines and never-ending pressure, one question remains relevant: Are we truly happy?
Vibrationz Music believes the answer lies in reconnecting with our most authentic, joyous selves—through the universal language of music.
A Gurgaon-based concept, Vibrationz Music has been creating a significant impact in the way it promotes happiness, by offering a distinctive space for individuals to unwind and reconnect with their inner selves. A labour of love of two passionate musicians—founder Debojit Das, seasoned performer, composer, music therapist, and sound engineer with over 22 years of experience in the corporate sector; and co-founder Piyush Prakash Behera, a dedicated music educator, percussionist, rhythmist, and composer with more than 20 years of teaching experience—the initiative seeks to bridge creativity, wonder, and bonding through the power of music.
At the heart of their endeavour is not just employee engagement or team-building. It’s a very human yearning: Happiness.
With their experiential music workshops, ‘Rhythm, Tempo & You’, Vibrationz Music is designing spaces that are safe, welcoming and joyful, where people regardless of age, background or profession, come together to unwind, laugh, and rediscover their inner child. Whether you’re a corporate professional, a curious child, or a senior citizen, everyone finds a place in the circle of rhythm, melody, and connection.
Into the Light
Participants are handed drums, shakers, tambourines, or any simple percussion instrument, and are gently guided by experienced music facilitators. And they don’t need to be musicians. They just need to listen, feel, and play.
The facilitators help fashion a musical journey in which people learn to come up with a groove, follow a tempo, and blend in with a group—just like in an orchestra. This act then becomes a powerful metaphor: ‘Know the rhythm and tempo of your life, and learn when to adjust, when to lead, and when to simply listen.’
What makes this project truly magical is its inclusive spirit—children, young adults, and the elderly all play side by side, eagerly living the moment, laughing, exploring, and co-creating music that heals and binds. In those moments, labels vanish. What remains is a shared sense of joy, purpose, and connection.
For organisations seeking deeper impact, Vibrationz Music also offers value-based music workshop modules specifically designed for stressed and high-performing teams. These sessions not only allow employees to reflect on and reawaken their core organisational values, but also guide them towards collaborating to record an anthem or song. This process then becomes a unifying experience, reinforcing inclusivity, belongingness, and a shared purpose within the team.
In a time when the world needs healing, perhaps what we all crave is to pick up an instrument, close our eyes, and play to the rhythm of happiness.
Because happiness is not a destination—it’s a beat, just waiting to be felt.
“Music knows no language and does not recognise age. And experiential music has the power to heal and spark joy instantly—even for those who’ve never played an instrument before,” says Debojit. “Beat and rhythm are the pulse of life—when we find them, we find ourselves,” adds Piyush.
Indeed, music is the remedy that humanity, riven by discord and desperately in search of empathy, needs. And the world could do with more folks like Debojit and Piyush to inspire people to embrace music, and encourage them to join hands to imagine rhythms and melodies simply for the pleasure such creation brings, and the boost it offers to mental well-being.
