Fairways & Flyways, a
distinctive travel trade experience that brought together golf, destination
discovery, creativity and networking, was held on August 21, 2026 at Qutab Golf
Course, New Delhi. Curated by Next Destination and Captivating Experiences, the
invitation only evening brought together stalwarts, changemakers and passionate
professionals from across the travel and hospitality industry.
Unlike a conventional networking
evening, Fairways & Flyways was conceived around a simple idea of experiences.
The event created an environment where business met experiences, conversations
happened naturally and travel professionals could step away from their everyday
roles of creating journeys for others and enjoy an experience themselves.
The concept brought together three
seemingly different experiences: golf, perfume making and itinerary building.
Each represented a different facet of travel - play, discovery and imagination.
Golf celebrated the journey as much as the destination, perfume making offered
guests the opportunity to create a memory through the senses, while the
itinerary challenge encouraged participants to imagine and curate a journey of
their own.
“Travel, at its heart, is about experiences. And we
truly believe that life becomes bigger with experiences”, said Ayushi Anand,
Editor-in-Chief, Next Destination. Fairways & Flyways was designed as a
celebration of the people who have spent their professional lives making the
world more accessible, exciting and experiential for travellers, she said.
The evening featured a golf
clinic, interactive destination activations by EgyptAir and Tourism Malaysia
such as perfume making and an itinerary building challenge, alongside live
entertainment, dinner, drinks and networking. The format allowed guests to
connect, create, play and discover while engaging with participating tourism
boards, airlines, hospitality groups and travel agencies.
EgyptAir joined the event as the
Powered By Partner, while Tourism Malaysia came on board as the Wanderlust
Partner, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels as the Golf Retreat Partner, Radico
Khaitan as the Celebration Partner, OTOAI as the association partner and
Gunsberg as the Beverage Partner.
The event was further supported by
Oman Air, Minor Hotels, Accor, UTEN and Thailand Tourism Board, bringing
together a strong representation of airlines, tourism boards, hospitality
groups and travel industry partners.
The evening also featured a series
of raffle prizes, adding an exciting travel element to the evening. Vineet
Nayyar, Manager, North India Commercial Sales, Oman Air, contributed a return
ticket to Muscat.
From Minor Hotels, Rohit Chopra
and Sandeep Rana, Area Commercial Director, India and Director of Global Sales,
India | Luxury Sales, respectively, contributed two night stay vouchers at
Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavis Marbella Resort, Spain, and Tivoli La
Vie Muscat Hotel and Residences.
Mohammad Ali, Director of Global
Sales, India & South Asia, Accor Group, contributed a two night stay
voucher at Novotel Jaipur Exhibition Convention Centre and a one night stay
voucher at Mercure La Défense Paris, giving guests the
opportunity to take home memorable travel and hospitality experiences beyond
the evening itself.
The organisers said, “Fairways & Flyways is
our way of celebrating the people who make travel happen. We wanted to create
an evening that goes beyond business cards and conversations, and instead gives
the industry an opportunity to connect, create, play and discover. Most
importantly, we wanted everyone to leave with experiences worth remembering.”
The evening continued with guests
enjoying dinner, drinks, live music and conversations, bringing together the
travel community in an informal and celebratory setting.
