Chef Shipra, the visionary behind Shipra's Kitchen and Momentz Studio, has carved a remarkable niche in the culinary world through her passion for food, dedication to preserving culinary traditions, and spirit of entrepreneurship.
Her culinary journey began at home, where her mother became her first and most influential guru. Under her guidance, Shipra learned the art of Indian, Continental, and Chinese cooking, starting with simple snacks before progressing to complete meals, party orders, and eventually large-scale catering services. This strong foundation nurtured her love for creating memorable food experiences.
After marriage, she had the opportunity to learn the rich and flavorful traditions of Kayasth cuisine from her in-laws, adding another layer of heritage and authenticity to her culinary expertise. Determined to continually enhance her skills, she pursued a Culinary Arts course from the Indian School of Hospitality, combining traditional knowledge with professional culinary training.
Over the years, Chef Shipra has earned numerous awards and accolades, recognizing her contribution to the culinary industry and her commitment to excellence. Through Shipra's Kitchen, she has successfully catered to eminent personalities, prestigious organizations, and leading corporate houses, earning a reputation for quality, innovation, and impeccable service.
Her entrepreneurial journey expanded with the launch of Spice Library, a brand dedicated to fresh, homemade masalas crafted with authentic flavors and traditional recipes. She further introduced Kankaffe, a unique café concept that brings the warmth, comfort, and nostalgia of a traditional canteen experience into modern workspaces.
A passionate advocate for India's culinary heritage, Chef Shipra along with her friend Ambika sukumar created the series "Bhasha aur Bhojan", an initiative dedicated to exploring and documenting India's lost cuisines, regional food traditions, and disappearing languages. Through this platform, she celebrates the deep connection between food, culture, and identity, helping preserve stories and traditions that might otherwise be forgotten.
To support the growing needs of content creators, food brands, and storytellers, she established Momentz Studio—a professional creative space designed for food photography, videography, content creation, podcast recordings, and brand storytelling. The studio has become a hub where culinary artistry meets digital innovation, enabling creators and businesses to bring their stories to life through high-quality visual and audio content.
