KAANSA: A GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE AT CROWNE PLAZA TODAY GURUGRAM

Kaansa's menu combines the best of both worlds, blending the
old flavours with the new. It offers a playful twist on favourite regional
dishes along with Indian classics.
Using ingredients sourced nationwide, this unique selection caters
to a wide audience, ensuring a delightful culinary experience for all.
A fine dining restaurant with a contemporary twist to
traditional Indian cuisine. The chef passionately explains each item during the
meal and the journey behind it. I was definitely in a food coma after having a
meal here. A perfect mix of regional recipes and colonial era decor. The Meal
started with khakhara and array of chutneys as chef spent time in Ahmedabad and
wanted to bring about something from Gujarat . The mango pop was a very
refreshing take on chaat. Amongst the appetisers, the two sure shot winners for
me were pepper mutton served on mini Malabar parotta and the mushroom soup
which they serve in a mini tea cup. In Main course, there was chingri malai
(prawn curry) from Bengal
; Nihari 2.0 , Palak paneer pasanda- pinwheel; wild mushroom korma (4 kinds of
mushrooms) served with the most delish thandai to mellow it down. We definitely
had a foodgasm that lasted few days.
Innovation is chef Dhanveer Singh’s middle name. From Aloo
tikki 2.0 to Wild mushroom korma, Nihari 2.0 .. and many more upcoming new
innovations his team is always ready to try something new.
